karsten john is the man behind the vinyl vibes records label and the clubnight in cologne of the same name. with only three releases since starting the label end of 2004 it has quickly build up an amazing popularity within the leftfield scene and the records got heavily played by djs as diverse as richard dorfmeister, gilles peterson, quantic, rainer trüby, jazzanova, drumagick or mr scruff (to name just a few).
being an well respected travelling dj karsten played many of the good clubs worldwide, some of them regularly. his style of mixing the latest clubsounds with jazzy vibes from past decades pleases the dancers on both, future beat nights like `future sounds of jazz` as well as on retro nights like russ dewburys `jazzrooms` (where he gets announced as `germanys premier retro dj`). next to djing in europe, touring in 2005 led him to clubs in australia, brasil, usa & canada a.o..
karsten johns legendary vinyl vibes clubnight in cologne has for more than 7 years now been the weekly homebase for a huge crowd of like minded dancers and music lovers. he is also regularly joined by some of the finest djs in the international scene like rainer trüby, nicola conte, jazzanova, mo`horizons, kyoto jazz massive and many more.
