DJ FARRAPO – Contemporary Global Grooves
Giorgio Cencetti aka DJ Farrapo started his music career in the end of the 1980’s as keyboard player for local bands in Bologna where he is from. Touring all over Italy, he recorded two albums and several singles for independent labels including Irma Records. Meanwhile he graduated at the university of Bologna presenting a dissertation about the history of the Hammond organ and Soul Jazz.
In the mid 90’s he starts to djeing and until now plays in hundreds clubs: Italy, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Brasil.
He shared the decks with DJ’s such as Rainer Truby, Paul Murphy, Buscemi, Drumagick, Gerardo Frisina, Zero DB, Flow Dynamics to name a few.
Farrapo’s main “gig” is frequently spinning at exclusive corporate events for companies like: Ducati, Mazda, La Perla, Baileys and many other fashion events
In 2005 release his first single as a producer "Baiano Vem Baiano Vai" for the London based “Afro Art” records, followed by 2 other brazilian oriented singles: “Spaghetti Samba” with the producer Fab Samperi and "Frango Assado" with Yanez.
He gets tracks released in famous compilations like “Hotel Costes” and “Brazilectro” and have compiled & mixed the compilation “Modern Bit” for the Italian label Modern Activism.
His dj set are full of eclectic but very brazilian beats and jazzy groove oriented.
